This is the ARK of Hope Rescue Site, come on in!
We have been working on this since April 2007 and finally on of January 18th we received a letter from the IRS granting us our 501(c)3 non-profit, charity status. For those of you that do not know what this means.....now for each donation you give to The Ark of Hope Rescue you can take it off on your taxes for that year! We are hoping that people will be more willing to contribute knowing that they can deduct their donation at the end of the year!
The Ark of Hope Rescue is a rescue organization that takes in abused, neglected or abondoned animals. Together Dianne Care, Bobby her husband, Bobby 3 their son, and Elizabeth their daughter are the folks that take care of the animals and run the Ark, you can find out more about them in our "The Care Family" page. Over the years Dianne has been rescuing animals, but the cost of vet bills, food for the animals, spaying and neutering, as well as the numerous other suppies needed to do this became too financially prohibitive; so, they decided to set up an organization where others would learn about caring for dogs, cats, etc. and hopefully people would decide that they wanted to help. They have built a new building suitable for some long term rescues. These are the animals that come in need of medical attention, slight behavior problems that need to be addressed before they are placed in new homes, as well as other reasons.
This is where Dianne and her family are asking for your help. Of couse money is needed--badly!--but there are other ways people can help these poor animals that are so depending on all of us. Right now we need FIRE WOOD for the furnace! Cat Litter, Frontline for dogs and cats, dry and canned food for dogs and cats, blankets, pet toys, etc. Donations--whether it is building supplies, gift cards, or items that can be sold at auctions or ebay--everything is greatly appreciated. We are looking for suggestions on ways that the finances can be raised. We need, the animals need, everyones' help, donations, and support!,Thanks
Please take your time going through the site. Look at some of the pictures of dogs that have all ready been helped. Some of the stories are heartbreaking, some are enlighting, but please take note... all have had a happy ending! Read the stories, look at the pictures and hopefully you will decide that you want to help those still looking for the perfect family to make their home with.

She is ready to go home to a family that will love her forever. Lightning refuses to leave her mate "Thunder" behind. She knows that there is someone out there that can make just a little more room so that they can go together!________SO WE STILL NEED A FAMILY THAT WILL ADOPT US - WE REALLY WANT TO GO TOGETHER! WE WILL HELP TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER!!!
We are sending out a monthly newsletter now. If you would like to add something to it, make a donation in memory of or in honor of someone (2 legged or 4) that will also be printed in the next newsletter, or if there is a topic that you would like info on and think that others would enjoy reading about please contact Dianne. A few people have asked if I would print a poem or a story that they have written, absolutely, as long as it relates to animals. Our newsletters are emailed to people to save on stamps, envelopes, etc. we feel that the $50.00 or so that would be spent on postage should go to the dogs needs. If there is someone that does not have the internet then we will mail those newsletters to them. If you would like our newsletters emailed to you or if you know someone who would enjoy them please drop me a note (email, snail mail or call) and tell me your email address or your friend or family's email or mailing address and they will receive the very next month's newsletter.
